Long gone are the days when riding outfits had to be dull and ill-fitting. Now you get to be comfortable, safe and stylish all in one go! Whether you prefer neutral tones or bright, block colours, there’s a riding outfit for everyone.
Riding a horse in the UK requires one key item before anything else: a waterproof coat. Our riding jackets come in three different lengths (short, ¾ and full), so you can switch it up depending on the weather and temperature. With features such as a foldaway hood, reflective strips for safety, a riding vent, and of course, lots of pockets, it’s a jacket you can wear for many occasions, not just riding.
Next, you’ll need a pair of boots. If you’re a learner, don’t feel the need to splash out on a pair of specialist riding boots, especially if you’re not sure if it’s the right hobby for you. Instead, wear a pair of sleek ankle boots with a good tread. A pair of riding boots can also come in various lengths too. Short jodhpur boots are a lightweight Chelsea-style boot, and leather boots are a must too. Knee-high boots work just as well for riding too; just make sure there aren't too many tassels on the outside of the boot.
On your bottom half, you’ll also need to wear something fitted. Again, don’t rush to buy something brand new if you don’t need to. A pair of stretchy skinny or slim-leg jeans are a great alternative for non-riders. If you’re a pro, riding tights or jodhpurs are a more premium product. Most have a sticky seat coating around the inner thighs, making for a much better grip when on the horse. Our jodhpurs range comes in lots of bright colours as well as more muted tones too.
