If there’s one thing we all love here at Rydale (both customers and staff), it’s the great outdoors. Especially during the summer, we try to make the most of what little nice weather we get by going for a hike. However, just because it’s warm outside, it still means you need to dress the part. Dressing practically for the outdoors means finding your summer hiking outfits for ladies.
Just because it’s summer, it doesn’t mean that the weather is always dry or sunny. In fact, it’s best to be prepared for all types of weather. Layers are crucial for any outdoor activity as you know how quickly it can go from warm to cool! A cosy sweatshirt fits right in the mix of keeping cool and cosy. A half-zip style is very on-trend right now but it’s also a style that has been available for a few years now. A bright colour will give your outfit some colour and you could wear it as an outer layer if it’s not too cold outside.
You also need to get your footwear right for a hike. They need to have a comfortable inner sole as well as a sturdy tread. Whilst you might choose to opt for walking or hiking boots, if you’re not a regular walker, you can get away with regular boots instead. A pair of knee-high leather boots can be much more versatile as you can wear them as your everyday boots too.
Hiking requires lots of accessories too. Make sure to wear thick, thermal socks regardless of the weather as they offer extra support around your toes and ankles. You might want to take a woolly hat or scarf with you as a just-in-case need. A fur or fleece headband is a great ladylike option if it’s not as cold as you originally thought.
