Dressing for a country festival can be difficult, especially if the weather’s a bit temperamental. However, it’s easy to look cute and put-together whilst still dressing appropriately for the weather. Our collection of festival outfit ideas will have you as the best-dressed lady at whatever festival you’re attending.
Starting with footwear, you need to be comfortable and practical. If you’ll be on grass, a boot with a very good tread is ideal or even a pair of wellies. You’ll want the extra grip, and leather boots are much easier to clean up afterwards. Make sure they’re not brand new, or you’ll spend the day with blisters. For town or city festivals, you will get away with trainers or sandals. We’re big fans of buckled footbed sandals, which are some of the comfiest shoes in our range. If you prefer trainers, opt for leather or canvas and make sure you’re happy to walk around all day in them.
Just because it’s more of a casual day out, it doesn’t mean you have to dress super casually. We love our printed shirts for just about every occasion. Whether you prefer a full button-up checked shirt or a floaty patterned sleeveless blouse, think about the weather and temperature first. Alternatively, a cotton polo or rugby shirt is a lovely casual item that can easily be dressed up. Choose a bright shade or a jewel tone to really stand out against a neutral outfit.
Don’t forget your waterproof jacket whatever the season! In the summer, a pack and go jacket should slip into any medium-sized handbag or rucksack. Hopefully, you won’t need it, but it’s always better to have it to hand. If it’s cooler out, a wax jacket or padded bomber jacket would be a great option. As long as you have lots of pockets and the material is showerproof, you’ll be comfortable and prepared!
