There’s always someone every year that can be difficult to buy for. Whether it’s an awkward family member or that member of staff you don’t know very well that you got in the work’s secret Santa, we can be completely stumped when it comes to gift ideas. Even if you don’t know them that well, there are a number of gifts that everyone likes to receive at Christmas.
We’ve gathered up a few of our favourite gift ideas, perfect for those who seem to be the hardest to buy something for! We’ve tried to keep them as generic as possible so no matter what man or woman you’re buying for will still love them!
Pyjamas
You can’t go wrong with pyjamas and anyone who says they don’t like receiving them is lying! Everyone likes to be comfortable, especially at home during their Christmas break. After spending so much time at home in the past couple of years, home comforts have definitely become more luxurious!
Coming in at under £25, they make a great secret Santa gift for a friend or family member. With six designs for the ladies and two for the men in 100% cotton, you know they feel just as soft as they look! Perfect for a night in front of the TV or an early night following a day of festivities!
Socks
When you’re young, socks feel like a rubbish gift. When you’re older, it just means you don’t have to buy them for yourself. Who else loves getting a year’s supply worth of socks at Christmas?
With a range of ankle and knee high socks in bright colours and country patterns, we also offer a range of activity socks too. For the ladies, we’ve got everything from sports trainer socks to hiking socks to thick cable knit boot socks.
For the men, our soft wool blend striped boot socks or thermal hiking socks will keep any feet warm!
Hats, scarves and gloves
Again, keeping warm will never go out of fashion, will it? If your budget stretches, especially for the ladies, you can even buy them a full set of all three! Think about the colours they wear the most often and whether they like a splash of colour or not.
Our new Bella pom pom hat comes in twelve different colours so there really is a colour for everyone, whether they’re a fan of colour or tend to stick to neutrals. If the pom pom is a bit too much for them, our simple knitted beanie hats are just as warm, especially in a range of jewel tone colours. Maybe hats aren’t their thing but a wintery headband would be more for them? Whether it’s a sherpa lined tweed design, made from faux fur or a classic fleece version, there is plenty of choice. A pair of knitted gloves and a scarf to suit their personality finish off this gift.
A classic tweed flat cap is perfect for the country gentleman who is difficult to buy for. With nearly 50 variations to choose from, see if you can spot his favourite colour in the thread of one style. If they’re a man who is prone to getting cold, a knitted beanie hat may be their saving grace. Coming in olive, iron and navy, these neutral shades should go with any outfit.
Wellington boots
Our range of women’s and men’s wellington boots are extensive because we know the realities of countryside living! We offer pairs at different price points too, depending on what the receiver will be wearing them for and your price point or budget.
All of our styles are practical but that doesn’t have to mean boring. With camouflage, dog prints and pheasant print galore, you can pick a pair for their personality. Even our neutrals are still classic and classy!
A new bag
Whether it’s a rucksack for hiking or for work, a leather handbag for dressing up or a brand new wallet or purse to switch out their old one, it’s always such a lovely gift. All you have to do is think about which they need the most.
Maybe they’ve got a few short breaks booked for 2022? A tweed weekend bag would be perfect to take those trips in style. Perhaps they’ve been complaining that their work rucksack is looking a bit tired? You could get them a replacement ready for the new year. Ladies are always looking for a new bag so this could be a gift that nobody else has thought of! A cross-body bag is the perfect smaller bag for nights out.
Homeware
If the person has just moved into a new house or has mentioned they’ve been redecorating recently, some countryside homeware could make their house a home. A set of mugs for cosy nights in or a cushion in their favourite colour, pattern or fabric could really elevate their home.
Another idea is a fleece throw to match their decor. Who doesn’t want to be warm and comfortable when sat on the sofa? Ours are machine washable too, which is ideal for people with children and dogs!
Travel mug / water bottle
This gift could work well for someone in a work’s secret Santa. With a rise in looking for sustainable and environmentally friendly products, it’s important to make small changes. One of those can be to use an insulated travel mug instead of getting a takeaway cup every day, especially if it’s a daily treat before work.
Our designs also match our stainless steel water bottles so if you have a £30 gift limit, both will fit just under that! Not only are they great quality products for that price, you know that you’ll be helping someone do their bit to help save the environment. It will probably remind you to carry your own around too!
Gifting for someone you’re unsure of what to buy for doesn't have to be as complicated as you might make it! A little bit of thought goes a long way, even with a smaller budget. Just wait to see their reaction when they receive something unexpected but something they will use and love. You never know, maybe one or two of these gifts will end up under your tree for you too!
